Little Sarah’s sparkle remembered
The 18-month-old baby girl who died in a house fire in Dungiven last week brought so much sparkle to her families lives, mourners at her funeral heard at the weekend.
Little Sarah Mullin died in hospital after a fire broke out in a bedroom of her house at Killyblight Road on Tuesday night.
Her parents Stephen and Marie and siblings Robert, Jenna and Alison suffered severe smoke inhalation.
Mourners at Saturday afternoon’s funeral service at Largy Presbyterian Church heard how the child had brought much happiness to those around her.
“In her short life little Sarah brought so much happiness to so many,” said Rev Dr Clive Glass.
“In particular we express our sincere condolences today to Stephen and Marie who have lost their precious daughter in such tragic circumstances. We think too of Alison, Robert and Jenna who have lost the wee sister they so doted on.
“Our hearts go out as well to grandparents who have been bereft of a granddaughter who brought so much sparkle to their lives.”
Rev Glass express “heartfelt thanks” to the congregation for the support they have shown Sarah’s family over the past week.
Sarah was buried in Bovevagh Parish Church graveyard after the service.
