A County Derry woman has won €72,000 on a major TV show.
Margaret O’Hagan last week took part in RTE’s ‘The Big Money Game’ on behalf of her mother Kathleen who’s from Desertmartin.
And Margaret certainly did her mother proud by scooping a fantastic amount.
Kathleen celebrated her 87th birthday last month. Her late husband Seamus passed away 17 years ago.
Kathleen has seven sons and three daughters. She has 35 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She got her Scratch Card as a birthday gift from her son Kevin. He cut his holiday in Spain short to come back to root for his mother on last week’s show.
Margaret always promised her mother that she would go on the show for her.
She describes her mother as being a wonderful lady.
“She loves the craic and always lives for the moment. Every now and then she even enjoys a little glass of brandy,” she said.
Margaret works apart-time as a lecturer in Holistic Healthcare in North West College in Derry.
